About the role

The Department of Information Systems and Operations Management at Ball State University invites applications for a full-time Assistant Teaching Professor/Assistant Lecturer position starting August 2026.

Responsibilities

• Teach twelve credit hours each fall and spring semester in business analytics and information systems.
• Assignments may include undergraduate and graduate courses, which may be delivered online, synchronously, or asynchronously.

Requirements

• Earned master's degree with at least 5 years of working experience in information systems, computer technology, operations research, computer science, business analytics, or closely related areas by date of appointment.
• A doctorate degree in information systems, computer technology, computer science, operations research, business analytics, or closely related areas from an accredited institution by date of appointment, or extensive working experience in the above areas.

Qualifications

• Candidates must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.

• Strong teaching abilities.
