Asst Director Patient Care

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated Assistant Director of Patient Care for the Medical/Surgical Tele Unit at Community Medical Center, a 592-bed, fully accredited acute care hospital. Community Medical Center is Ocean County’s largest and most active health care facility, serving over 21,500 inpatients, 178,000 outpatients, and 73,700 emergency department patients annually.

Responsibilities

• Manages patient care delivery on an assigned shift.
• Ensures the Medical Surgical Unit is in compliance with all applicable policies, laws, and regulations.
• Demonstrates attention to detail and leadership skills, including critical thinking and problem-solving.
• Works effectively under pressure with a focus on positively impacting patient care, patient experience, and unit success.
• Assists the Director in managing the unit, including staff schedules, evaluations, discipline, and quality improvement (QI).

Requirements

• Graduated from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current New Jersey RN License.
• At least 2 years of acute care nursing experience or 2 years of acute care nursing experience with previous management experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing or currently matriculating.

Certifications and Licenses

• BLS Health Care Provider through the American Heart Association (required).
• Additional certifications may be required as per the Administrative Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation “Certification” Policy.

Pay

The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $125,012.48 - $162,516.22 per year. The compensation offered will depend on the candidate's educational background, skills, and professional experience.

Schedule

Full-time day shift, 40 hours per week.
