Asst/Assoc/Professor - Pediatric Developmental Behavioral Medicine

About the role

The TTUHSC School of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics in the Permian Basin is seeking a physician to join the newly established Permian Basin Pediatric Residency Program. This program aims to address critical pediatric care shortages by training residents in general pediatrics and subspecialties.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, treat and manage complex developmental, learning and behavioral challenges in pediatrics and adolescents.
• Assess developmental delays, learning disorders and habit disorders.
• Collaborate with families to address environmental, psychosocial and emotional factors that affect development.
• Work with school systems and community agencies to ensure educational support for patients.
• Collaborate with other specialties as a part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Participate in the education of students and residents.

Requirements

• MD/DO/MBBS;
• Completion of the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) Step 3;
• Completed, or in the process of completing, an ACGME accredited Residency;
• Completed, or in process of completing, a Fellowship in Pediatric Developmental Behavioral Medicine.
