About the role

The TTUHSC School of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics in the Permian Basin is seeking a physician to join the newly established Permian Basin Pediatric Residency Program. This program aims to address critical pediatric care shortages by training residents in general pediatrics and subspecialties.

Responsibilities

  • Examines patient, performs a comprehensive physical examination, and compiles patient medical data, including health history and results of physical examination;
  • Develops and implements patient management plans, records progress notes, and assists in the provision of continuity of care;
  • Instructs and counsels patients regarding compliance with prescribed therapeutic regimens, emotional problems of daily living, and health maintenance;
  • Works as a member of a multidisciplinary team;
  • Participates in the education of students and residents.

Requirements

  • MD/DO/MBBS;
  • Completion of the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) Step 3;
  • Completed, or in the process of completing, an ACGME accredited Residency in Pediatrics;
  • Completed, or in the process of completing, a Fellowship in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine.

Qualifications

  • MD/DO/MBBS;
  • Completion of the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) Step 3;
  • Completed, or in the process of completing, an ACGME accredited Residency in Pediatrics;
  • Completed, or in the process of completing, a Fellowship in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine.
