Asst/Assoc/Professor- Inpatient PM&R

About the role

The Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Division seeks an Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor to provide inpatient coverage for Trustpoint Rehabilitation Hospital. The position involves caring for up to 28-35 adult patients daily with APRN support available, with approximately 1-2 weekend calls per month. The facility has 72 beds and sees around 130 admissions monthly, with patient diagnoses including stroke, trauma, spinal conditions, and orthopedic issues.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient coverage for Trustpoint Rehabilitation Hospital
• Treat and manage functional impairment in various inpatient and outpatient settings
• Train and supervise PM&R residents
• Optional participation in VA appointments or clinics

Requirements

• MD or DO degree
• Board Certification or Board Eligibility in PM&R or in the process of becoming Board Eligible
• Completion of USMLE Step 3

Qualifications

• Completion of residency program in PM&R
• Experience in treating stroke, trauma, spinal conditions, and orthopedic issues
• Excellent communication and teaching skills

Pay

The rank of Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor and applicable salary are dependent upon the candidate's qualifications and experience. Compensation is commensurate with related education, experience, and skills, as well as budgetary guidelines of the hiring department, and the institutional pay plan.
