Physician - PM&R - Inpatient

About the role

Ochsner Health is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible PM&R physician for our inpatient rehabilitation facility in Lacombe, La.

Responsibilities

- Provides comprehensive care for patients with various conditions such as brain or spinal cord injury, cardiac conditions, cancer rehabilitation, neurological disorders, orthopedic trauma, and stroke. - Works in a shared call schedule of 1:4 for 7-10 days a month, which includes 1 weekend per month. - No holidays. - Participates in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient cases and develop treatment plans.

Requirements

- Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R). - Experience in inpatient rehabilitation settings preferred. - Strong clinical skills and ability to collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals.

Qualifications

- Completion of an accredited residency program in PM&R. - Current license to practice medicine in Louisiana.

Skills

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR).
