Asst/Assoc/Full Professor, Hematology Oncology

About the role

Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) is seeking a Fellowship-trained Hematologist/Oncologist in Lubbock, Texas to work at the University Medical Center (UMC) TLC² Foundation Cancer Center.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive physical exams with review of medical history and review/interpretation of lab and diagnostic testing.
• Develop and manage customized treatment regimens inclusive of chemotherapy, immunotherapy and supportive care.
• Communicate with patients and family members regarding diagnoses, testing and treatment options;
• Perform specialty specific procedures as needed.
• Collaborate effectively with additional members of the interdisciplinary care team.
• Provide patient care a minimum of 8 half days with an expected patient volume of 10-12 patients per half day.
• Participate in the training and mentoring of medical students, residents and fellows.

Requirements

• MD/DO or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain a Texas Medical License.
• Completion of the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) Step 3.
• Board Eligible in Hematology, or in the process of completing an ACGME accredited Hematology Fellowship, OR Board Eligible in Oncology, or in the process of completing an ACGME accredited Oncology Fellowship.

Qualifications

• MD/DO or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain a Texas Medical License.
• Completion of the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) Step 3.
• Board Eligible in Hematology, or in the process of completing an ACGME accredited Hematology Fellowship, OR Board Eligible in Oncology, or in the process of completing an ACGME accredited Oncology Fellowship.
