Associate, Working Capital

About the role

The CFO Services practice within Alvarez & Marsal Private Equity Performance Improvement (PEPI) is expanding its team in various locations throughout the U.S. This role is ideal for individuals with a solid understanding of finance and accounting, particularly those with a CPA certification, and experience working with teams on time-sensitive projects.

Responsibilities

• Developing financial models and making strategic recommendations based on financial statements and data analysis.
• Collaborating with team members to structure work plans and manage processes to completion.
• Implementing treasury and cash management systems.
• Managing and analyzing supply chain operations.
• Providing interim CFO, Controller, and Treasurer services to portfolio companies.
• Assisting with merger integration and carve-out projects.

Requirements

• 4-7+ years of relevant work experience in areas such as management consulting, investment banking, private equity, corporate strategy, or related fields.
• A bachelor’s degree from an accredited 4-year institution.
• Strong expertise with data and analytics tools like Microsoft Excel, PowerBI, Alteryx, Tableau, etc.
• Experience with Tableau and think-cell software is a plus.
• Experience with financial modeling and financial statement development.
• Experience with treasury and cash management.
• Experience with systems implementation.

Qualifications

• Strong written, oral, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Excellent structured project management skills, including time, team, and work-stream management.
• Highly initiative-driven and able to think critically.
• Flexible to travel up to 80% of the time, as needed.

Benefits

Alvarez & Marsal offers a competitive salary range of $90,000 - $130,000 annually, contingent upon experience, skills, and location. Additionally, the firm provides a discretionary bonus program based on individual and firm performance. For more details, please ask your recruiter.
