About the role
The Private Equity Performance Improvement (PEPI) – CFO Services team at Alvarez & Marsal Private Equity is expanding its offerings in various U.S. locations. This team works closely with middle market and large cap private equity firms to improve operating results at their portfolio companies.
Responsibilities
- Developing and implementing financial models and strategies
- Managing and analyzing financial data to make informed decisions
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and execute strategic plans
- Assisting in the implementation of new systems and processes
- Providing interim CFO, Controller, and Treasurer services
- Supporting merger integration and carve-out projects
- Utilizing financial modeling and reporting tools such as Tableau and think-cell
- Leading and managing projects under tight deadlines
Requirements
- 4-7+ years of relevant work experience in areas such as Management Consulting, Investment Banking, Private Equity, Corporate Strategy, Treasury, Sourcing, Supply Chain, Corporate Finance, etc.
- A Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited 4-year institution
- Strong expertise with data and analytics tools like Microsoft Excel, PowerBI, Alteryx, Tableau, etc.
- Experience with treasury/cash management and systems implementation
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and analytical skills
- Ability to travel up to 80% of the time, as needed
Qualifications
- CPA certification is preferred
- Strong financial modeling experience and understanding of financial statements
- Experience with 13-week cash flow development
- Structured project management skills

Benefits
Alvarez & Marsal Private Equity offers a competitive salary range of $90,000 - $130,000 annually, contingent upon experience, skills, and location. Additionally, the firm provides a discretionary bonus program based on individual and firm performance.

The salary range for this position is $90,000 - $130,000 annually, depending on various factors including education, experience, skills, and geography.
Schedule
Flexibility to travel up to 80% of the time, as needed.
