About the role

CMC Recruiting is seeking a motivated and client-focused professional to join a wealth management team in the Kansas City area. This role offers an opportunity to work alongside experienced advisors, support high-net-worth client relationships, and contribute to comprehensive financial planning and investment management services.

Responsibilities

Support senior wealth advisors in delivering holistic financial planning and investment solutions to clients
Assist with client onboarding, account maintenance, and ongoing relationship management
Prepare financial plans, investment proposals, and performance reviews for client meetings
Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to execute client service requests
Conduct research on financial markets, investment products, and planning strategies
Participate in client meetings and contribute to presentations and follow-up communications

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field
1–3 years of experience in wealth management, financial services, or client advisory support
Progress toward or interest in obtaining CFP® certification or similar professional designation
Strong understanding of investment principles, asset allocation, and financial planning concepts
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a client-first mindset
Proficiency with financial planning software, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office Suite

Qualifications

Series 65 or Series 7/66 licenses preferred, or willingness to obtain within a defined timeframe
Experience with portfolio construction, risk management, and tax-efficient strategies is a plus
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities
High attention to detail and strong analytical capabilities
