Associate, Warehouse Operations

Warehouse Operations is responsible for performing and controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product. This includes functions such as receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, and delivery, ensuring the efficient flow of products from vendor receipt to customer shipment.

Responsibilities

• Follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to process orders, including accurately picking, performing quality control checks, sorting, consolidating freight, building and wrapping pallets, packing, loading, and preparing orders for shipment.
• Pick large case items using material handling equipment or pick small unit-of-measure items and place them on designated carts.
• Cross-train in multiple warehouse areas and participate in projects as needed.
• Utilize the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to check in and/or send out products.
• Operate material handling equipment as required, such as order pickers (cherry pickers), forklifts, reach trucks, turret trucks, pallet jacks, and walkie riders.
• Complete housekeeping and inventory control tasks, maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
• Work on routine assignments requiring problem resolution.
• Participate in associate meetings and communicate concerns to management.
• Perform all job duties in accordance with OSHA standards and adhere to all organizational policies, rules, regulations, and procedures.

Qualifications

• Frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to bend, reach, stoop, lift, and stand for an entire shift.
• Comfort working at heights of 20-30 feet regularly.
• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Previous material handling equipment (PIT) experience preferred.
• Radio frequency (RF) scanner and/or voice-to-pick experience highly preferred.
• Must be able to work overtime with little or no advance notice.
• Ability to follow directions, change priorities, and work independently or as part of a team.
• Aptitude to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment while meeting hourly performance standards.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and rotate into various warehouse areas.
• Adhere to site safety regulations, including wearing required personal protective equipment (e.g., steel-toed safety shoes, material handling equipment safety harness) and following Cardinal Health’s EHS and QRA policies and procedures.

Pay

$22.76 per hour (includes shift differential).

Schedule

• Sunday: 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Monday–Thursday: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
• Overtime required.
