Associate, Warehouse

Feeding Tampa Bay serves ten counties in West Central Florida and is a leader in hunger relief across the region. Last year, we served 85 million meals to neighbors through direct service and a network of 400+ food pantry partners. About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Associate to join our team. In this role, you will ensure all inbound products are received, outbound orders are selected, and products are stored correctly throughout the warehouse. You will uphold food and warehouse safety procedures and support and train volunteers as needed.

Responsibilities

• Receive inbound products and ensure correct storage.
• Select outbound orders accurately and efficiently.
• Store products throughout the warehouse for easy accessibility.
• Follow all food and warehouse safety procedures, including labeling, dating, and product rotation.
• Support and train volunteers, ensuring they understand procedures and can carry out duties.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Handle issues as they arise, escalating to the Warehouse Manager when necessary.
• Actively participate in mission-driven programs, such as food distribution initiatives and disaster relief operations.

This position regularly requires standing, walking, reaching with arms and hands, climbing or balancing, and stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 2 years of warehouse experience or training.
• Excellent time management skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Certification to operate forklifts, electric pallet jacks, Crown reach lift, and other warehouse equipment.
• Food safety certification required or willingness to complete within 30 days of employment.
• Ability to lift, lower, push, pull, and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds continuously during shift.
• Able to bend, stoop, crouch, climb, stand, sit, walk, and turn/pivot throughout an 8-hour shift.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays when required.
• Willingness to actively participate in mission-driven programs, such as food distribution initiatives and disaster relief operations.

Pay

$20.00 per hour

Schedule

Core hours: 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM, on-site. Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as required.
