About the role
We are seeking a highly motivated, relationship-driven civil/structural engineer with a background in transportation, bridge, and/or municipal infrastructure projects to lead our New England growth initiatives from our Newton office.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with public sector clients, including MassDOT, MBTA, and municipal agencies
- Serve as a local technical and project leader for infrastructure and structural assignments, including bridges, transportation systems, and related facilities
- Coordinate with internal teams across NYC, Long Island, and New Jersey to deliver high-quality engineering services
- Manage projects including scope, schedule, budget, and client communication
- Provide technical oversight and QA/QC for structural and civil engineering deliverables
- Mentor and help grow local staff as the New England team expands
- Represent the firm at industry events, professional organizations, and client meetings
- Assist in shaping the strategic direction of LiRo-Hill’s New England infrastructure and structures presence
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred)
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Massachusetts, additional New England licensures preferred
- Demonstrated experience working with MassDOT, MBTA, and/or local municipalities
- Proven ability to develop and maintain client relationships and contribute to business development efforts
- Experience managing projects and coordinating multidisciplinary teams
- Strong understanding of structural systems related to bridges and infrastructure, with working knowledge of building structures and/or site civil systems
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a collaborative, multi-office environment and leverage remote technical resources
Pay
Minimum: $180,000/yr.; Maximum: $210,000/yr.
