Responsibilities
- Review proposals, budgets, and client agreements to ensure alignment with project goals and company standards
- Lead, mentor, and oversee the technical work of team members on complex modeling, engineering design and calculations, technical reports, regulatory permitting (local and state), and public/client presentations
- Prepare responses to client RFQs and solicitations
- Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with clients, public agency representatives, and community leaders
- Oversee project managers to ensure effective coordination of project tasks, budgets, and schedules
- Participate in the development and refinement of design and production standards
- Provide leadership and actively participate in relevant professional and civic organizations
- Guide and support the technical and career growth of project team members
- Conduct or supervise technical investigations, including post-flood forensic analysis, FEMA permitting, and regulatory compliance issues
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
- Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the state of employment
- Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in stormwater modeling and/or design, including at least 10 years in managing Stormwater professionals
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated success in building and maintaining professional relationships with clients, public officials, and community leaders
- Proven ability to lead and mentor engineers and technical staff
- Active involvement in professional associations and civic organizations, preferably in a leadership capacity
- P.E. license held for over 10 years
- Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) designation preferred
