Associate / Vice President, Investment Banking - Private Capital Advisory

Position Summary

Guggenheim Securities (“GS”) is seeking an experienced Associate / Vice President to join its Private Capital Advisory team in New York. Private Capital Advisory is a rapidly growing and critically important strategic initiative for Guggenheim Securities. The team advises private equity, private credit, infrastructure and real estate sponsors with a focus on GP-led secondary transactions such as continuation funds, while also advising investors on structured LP secondary transactions such as collateralized fund obligations.

Essential Job Functions

  • Prepare and contribute to delivery of client presentations and interact with senior bankers, clients and lawyers
  • Design and development of financial models and valuation analysis
  • Perform company and fund-level due diligence, prepare confidential information memoranda and other transaction-related documentation
  • Manage investor outreach and facilitate due diligence process
  • Conduct market research including identifying industry trends
  • Gather and analyze information, develop, and communicate recommendations to senior team
  • Identify and assist in identifying new potential business opportunities across the secondary market
  • Contribute to management and development of analyst class

Preferred Qualifications

  • 4-8 years of work experience (private capital advisory experience is preferred)
  • Core modeling and valuation experience
  • Significant level of maturity and the ability to interface with top private equity sponsors, secondary investors, and internal senior management
  • Understanding of the private equity and secondaries markets
  • Highly organized and motivated, with the initiative and ability to work with limited supervision
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Effective process management abilities

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • At least 3 years of investment banking experience or equivalent experience
