Associate Veterinarian - Small Animal
About the role
At Barn Hollow Veterinary Services, you'll work alongside experienced veterinarians who love what they do. Typical days are filled with a variety of appointments, from routine vaccinations to interesting medical cases. You'll perform surgeries, fit in unexpected work-ins, and handle emergencies as they arise. For large animal vets, there's the added adventure of farm calls and appointments with large animal clients. Small animal DVMs should be ready to juggle a mix of cases.

- Standard educational and licensing credentials
- Proficient in diagnosing, treating, and providing preventive care

Qualifications
- Experience in general mixed animal medicine
- Specializes in small animal medicine
- Knowledge of advanced tools such as Idexx lab equipment, digital X-ray, Tonopen, and ultrasound
- Experience in various species: Small Animal 60%, Bovine-Beef 30%, Equine 5%, Small Ruminant 3%, Swine/Poultry 1%
- Experience in different environments: Indoor kennels for dogs, dedicated cat room

Barn Hollow Veterinary Services is in Mountain View, MO (population ~2,600), located in the heart of the Ozarks. The area attracts many tourists due to its proximity to the Ozark Scenic Riverways and three bands of wild horses. Popular activities include camping, fishing, hiking, kayaking, canoeing, horseback riding, and hunting. There are numerous natural springs and historic sites. A small municipal airport is located behind the clinic, while Springfield, MO—home to a major airport—is approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes away. The closest larger town is West Plains, with a population of about 12,000, situated roughly 30 minutes from the clinic.
