About the role

Responsibilities

- Provide comprehensive patient care, including physical examinations, diagnosis, and treatment. - Develop and implement treatment plans based on thorough assessments and diagnostic evaluations. - Maintain detailed records in the medical record system, documenting patient observations, findings, and treatments. - Perform a wide range of surgical procedures, including spays, neuters, mass removals, and dental procedures. - Communicate effectively with clients and other healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care. - Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the quality of care and foster a supportive team environment.

Requirements

- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent from an AVMA-accredited veterinary school. - Active licensure as a veterinarian in the state where the hospital is located. - DEA and Controlled Substance licenses, if applicable. - USDA Category I accreditation or equivalent within two months of hire. - Comfortable performing anesthesia and routine surgeries, including spays, neuters, mass removals, and dentals. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Compassionate and empathetic, maintaining a professional demeanor under stress. - Proficient in using telephones and computers. - Willingness to learn new techniques and treatments, offer creative ideas, and adapt to changes.

- Demonstrated experience in veterinary medicine. - Strong problem-solving skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Excellent interpersonal skills and client communication abilities.
