About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate veterinarian to join our team at Walkertown Veterinary Hospital. Our ideal candidate is passionate about providing high-quality veterinary care and enjoys working in a positive, team-oriented environment. Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive veterinary care to patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and preventative care
- Collaborate with a supportive team to ensure the best possible outcomes for each patient
- Participate in professional development through continuing education and CE allowance
- Work closely with clients to educate them on pet care and wellness
- Assist with administrative tasks as needed
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent from an accredited university
- Active Veterinary State License (or ability to obtain upon hire)
- Current DEA License (or ability to obtain upon hire)
- USDA Accreditation (or ability to obtain upon hire)

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively
Skills
- Excellent diagnostic and therapeutic skills
- Effective problem-solving abilities
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills
- Proficiency in digital and dental radiography
- Experience with Companion Cold Therapy Laser
- Knowledge of in-house lab equipment from Idexx
- Experience with surgical monitors
