About the role
To add final components to a quality product by cleaning cushions, inserting valves, grommets, snaps, and inflating cushions according to established procedures.
- Gluing hoses with valves into cushions
- Inspecting and cleaning cushions
- Filling out work orders
- Inserting grommets
- Snapping mattresses
- Inflating cushions
- Hanging the cushion on the appropriate trolley line
- Placing stickers on the ISO Flow
- Building/installing IFC valves
- Assisting in assembling components on IFC installation/assembly as needed
Responsibilities
- Keep error rates minimal and within acceptable ranges
- Correctly read work orders and fill out work orders/diagrams for customs
- Maintain an efficient work pace
- Meet and exceed all performance measurements: quantity, accuracy, timeliness, and thoroughness of work performed
- Operate all machinery in a safe and efficient manner
- Report any safety hazards to assigned supervisor or safety manager
- Comply with all safety and quality policies, practices, and procedures
- Maintain a good attendance record
- Assemble components on IFC installation/assembly as needed when shorthanded
- Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, seminars, and conferences
- Highlight cross-functional collaboration and ownership
- Emphasize continuous improvement and efficiency
Requirements
- Must be skill checked on 1 position within the assigned department within 30 days of hire
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
- Prioritize tasks and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Strong problem-solving mindset
Pay
The expected pay range for this role is $17.00 – $17.50 per hour. Final compensation will depend on factors such as experience, skills, and internal equity.
Schedule
1st Shift, Monday-Thursday, 5:30am-4:00pm. Full-time.
