Associate Treasury Accountant

Key Responsibilities

  • Manages daily cash activity, bank transactions and funding requirements
  • Prepares deposits, journal entries and cash management reports
  • Initiates electronic payments, wire transfers and internal fund movements
  • Investigates and resolves banking, credit card and payment-related issues
  • Presents partnerships with internal teams and banking institutions to support treasury operations

Position Summary

Prepares and accounts for the institution's receipts, cash management, related bank relationships and transactions.

Essential Duties

  • Compiles daily bank account balances and determines cash funding needs
  • Downloads, compiles, reviews, identifies and assigns daily transactions from the centers processing bank including wires, EFTs, credit card transactions, lockbox, remote deposits, branch deposits and bank to bank transfers
  • Collects mail and cash receipts from internal sources including copayments to prepare, balance and complete bank deposits
  • Prepares and distributes exhibit material to necessary parties
  • Initiates bank transfers, wires and other electronic payments as necessary
  • Acts as point-of-contact for internal and external customers including tracking, notifying, posting and confirming bank and credit card issues including; bank adjustments, return checks, chargebacks, cash requests, transfers between internal systems, and unidentified payments
  • Prepares journal entries to record deposit activities in the general ledger
  • Prepares daily and monthly cash reports for historical reference and forecasting purposes
  • Reviews, verifies, and records banking and credit card fees
  • Covers external couriers and internal departments in regards to delivery and collection of cash and deposits
  • Maintains and responds as needed to all correspondence received through e-mail, phone, voicemail, and departmental communication sources

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. Bachelor’s preferred
  • Work Experience: A minimum of 3 years experience in data-entry, accounts receivable, or accounting required. General understanding of commercial banking preferred

Special Training, Certification or Licensure

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook preferred

Salary Range

$22.76 - $30.10
