Responsibilities

  • Support ideation, scoping, and strategy for new products through market, competitor, and product research.
  • Investigate new sources of supply and coordinate sourcing efforts with existing suppliers to determine supplier strategy.
  • Create technical specifications for all products to source, including component construction, fabrication and finished weights, component and product measurements, sewing/stitch and SPI detail, durometer, ILD, labeling (including federal and state legal requirements), packaging, and packing.
  • Conduct rigorous in-house product testing. Manage, review, and maintain an organized library of all Pre-Production (PP) and Top of Production (TOP) samples.
  • Manage, review, and maintain an organized library of all Pre-Production (PP) and Top of Production (TOP) samples. Maintain a strong understanding of third-party lab testing protocols and partner directly with overseas labs to ensure all products meet or exceed safety requirements and brand quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date WIP (Work in Progress) tracking, maintain BOMs (Bill of Materials), and create and oversee Tech Packs.
  • Maintain vendor database, including contact information, location, and organizational history.
  • Keep up to date with industry trends, innovation, and technology.
  • Gain a clear understanding of LUXOME product knowledge, product features, and product benefits.
  • Drive continuous improvement efforts for products, pricing, and vendor relations.

Requirements

  • Passionate about product!
  • 1-2 years of hands-on experience managing the physical product lifecycle for a consumer brand, retailer, or sourcing company, with a mandatory background in textiles, softlines, or home goods.
  • Hungry, result-driven individual who wants to make an impact day one.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with extreme attention to detail in information tracking and communication.
  • Self-directed and able to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Advanced in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including email writing etiquette.
  • Excellent at problem-solving, critical thinking, and time management.
  • Able to lift 30 lbs. and use a stepstool or ladder.
  • Able to commute to our office in Birmingham, Michigan.
