Associate Test Technician

Overview

Element has an opportunity for an Associate Test Technician to join their rapidly expanding team. This position operates within one of the various laboratories across Element, performing a variety of routine and non-routine testing assignments under direct supervision.

Responsibilities

• Possess the ability to work independently throughout the workday with supervision.
• Understand daily tasks and take initiative to complete them properly and timely without needing senior or management explanation.
• Able to read and understand customer specifications and perform the required testing.
• Develop a proven ability to set up and perform a variety of tests according to customer specifications under supervision and technical input from Senior/Principal Technicians.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of laboratory safety.
• H.S. Diploma or GED certificate preferred.
• College or vocational school coursework in a testing-related field is welcomed.
• 0-2 years’ experience in a testing-related field.
• Possess computer skills.
• Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry is a plus.

Physical Demands

• Frequency of required physical force: Minimum (moderate).
• Lifting requirements: lifting 50 lbs. on occasion.
• Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time.
• Periodically lift 50+ lbs.
