Associate Test Engineer - R & D and Manufacturing
About the role
Assist in the design, build and support of proprietary Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) hardware and software for a variety of analog components and assemblies. Develop test software modules for USTA (Universal Software Test Architecture) using existing and newer software tools (C, Visual Basic) on a variety of computer platforms as well as Embedded microcontrollers. Analyze and implement "off the shelf" instrumentation components (GPIB, VXI, PXI, Serial). Provide documentation at all stages of software/hardware development. Work closely with Design Engineering to assist in the development of new test procedures. Work closely with Manufacturing Engineering to support and optimize existing ATE.
Requirements
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering
- 0 – 2 years of related co-op/internship experience
- Working knowledge of Windows 10 and embedded Operating Systems
- Programming experience with high-level object-oriented languages (C++)
- Visual Basic programming experience is desirable
- Experience with Databases (Oracle, SQL or ODBC) is a plus
- ATE and Microcontroller programming experience
- Experience with power supply testing, analog & digital hardware involving power electronics, drafting tools (Altium or equivalent) is highly desirable
Pay
Salary Range: $80,000 - $90,000. Individual salaries are determined based on qualifications such as skills, education, and experience, as well as company internal equity.
