About the role

The Test Manufacturing Associate Engineer repairs and improves manual and automated test equipment and supports programs that are used for product testing and design verification.

Responsibilities

  • Under supervision and with assistance develop, qualify, and install test applications into manufacturing operations.
  • Optimize the Test process focusing on productivity improvements to cycle time and yield.
  • Debug of solutions provided by external vendors or customers based on training supplied.
  • Aid in test optimization based on feedback from customers and operations partners based on a solid understanding of the test coverage, diagnosability, reparability, firmware/diagnostics, and user experience.
  • Maintain with minimal supervision, the continuing performance of the Testers and participate in the OEE improvement plans, yield and test time optimization.

Requirements

  • Required to be onsite
  • Strong knowledge of Linux preferred
  • Strong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
  • Strong knowledge of electrical circuits
  • Knowledge of test equipment (i.e. oscilloscopes, soldering irons, multimeters, logic analyzers, function generator, ICT, flying probe)
  • Required knowledge of electrical test equipment
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy and working under tight deadlines
  • Ability to evaluate, prioritize and problem solve a variety of tasks to ensure their timely and accurate completion

Qualifications

  • 5-8 years’ experience in testing equipment
  • Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering

Physical Demands

  • Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.
  • Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.
  • Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.

Pay

Hourly rate + Shift Premium, Eligible for OT and Eligible for quarterly bonuses
