About the role
The Test Manufacturing Associate Engineer repairs and improves manual and automated test equipment and supports programs that are used for product testing and design verification.
Responsibilities
- Under supervision and with assistance develop, qualify, and install test applications into manufacturing operations.
- Optimize the Test process focusing on productivity improvements to cycle time and yield.
- Debug of solutions provided by external vendors or customers based on training supplied.
- Aid in test optimization based on feedback from customers and operations partners based on a solid understanding of the test coverage, diagnosability, reparability, firmware/diagnostics, and user experience.
- Maintain with minimal supervision, the continuing performance of the Testers and participate in the OEE improvement plans, yield and test time optimization.
Requirements
- Required to be onsite
- Strong knowledge of Linux preferred
- Strong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
- Strong knowledge of electrical circuits
- Knowledge of test equipment (i.e. oscilloscopes, soldering irons, multimeters, logic analyzers, function generator, ICT, flying probe)
- Required knowledge of electrical test equipment
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy and working under tight deadlines
- Ability to evaluate, prioritize and problem solve a variety of tasks to ensure their timely and accurate completion
Qualifications
- 5-8 years’ experience in testing equipment
- Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering
Physical Demands
- Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.
- Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.
- Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.
Pay
Hourly rate + Shift Premium, Eligible for OT and Eligible for quarterly bonuses
