As an Associate Technician in Shipping/Receiving & Distribution, you will be responsible for the incoming and outgoing of materials, reagents, instruments, or equipment to meet customer expectations. This on-site role is based in Hebron, KY, and reports to the Distribution Supervisor.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and store product, pick and pack product for shipment, and ship orders.
  • Inspect materials for orders, verifying accurate quantity, lot number, expiration dates, and product part number.
  • Create and/or ensure appropriate documentation is completed for orders.
  • Reconcile inventory and perform cycle counts and data entry functions as assigned.
  • Operate powered industrial equipment such as power jacks, forklifts, cherry pickers, and/or reach trucks.
  • Identify and solve routine problems in the work area with the management team.
  • Assist the management team on organizational improvement projects such as lean and quality initiatives.

Requirements

  • High school degree (or equivalent) with 0-2 years of experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and safety in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.

Physical/Environment Requirements

  • Lifting: Up to 50 lbs, multiple times during an 8-to-10-hour shift.
  • Push/Pull/Bend/Twist: Multiple times, up to 2 to 4 hours continuously during an 8-to-10-hour shift.
  • Sitting: 0% of the time.
  • Standing/Walking: Approximately 2 to 4 hours continuously during an 8-to-10-hour shift.
  • Climbing/Kneeling: 0% of the time.
  • Hand Movement: Repetitive movement including gripping, grasping, and manipulation. Approximately 2 to 4 hours intermittently during an 8-to-10-hour shift.
  • Driving/Operating Equipment: Powered equipment (forklift, reach truck/cherry picker) is required; must be able to cross-train and work in multiple areas of the facility.
  • Machinery: General conveyor systems and forklift equipment.
  • Environment: Exposure to cold (35–46 degrees F) for approximately 2.5 hours continuously during an 8-to-10-hour shift. Provided PPE includes insulated/high-visibility jacket, gloves, and hand-warming packs.
  • Sitewide PPE: Steel-toe shoes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in an environment where overtime and working in different departments is a regular occurrence.
  • Experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
