Associate Technician Shipping/Receiving & Distribution

About the role

The Associate Technician Shipping/Receiving & Distribution is responsible for the incoming and outgoing of materials, reagents, instruments, or equipment to meet customer expectations. This position reports to the Distribution Supervisor and is part of the Distribution Center team located in Hebron, KY.

Responsibilities

• Receives and stores product
• Picks and packs product for shipment
• Sherips orders
• Inspects materials for orders verifying accurate quantity, lot number, expiration dates and product part number
• Creates and/or ensures appropriate documentation is completed for orders
• Reconciles inventory and may perform cycle counts and data entry functions as assigned
• Maintains a safe and efficient work environment
• Identifies and solves routine problems in work area with management team
• Affords support to management team on organizational improvement projects such as lean and quality initiatives

Requirements

• High school degree (or equivalent degree)
• 0-2 years of experience
• Strong attention to detail and safety in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team

Physical/Environmental Requirements

• Lifting: Up to 50 lbs, multiple times during an 8-to-10-hour shift
• Push/Pull/Bend/Twist: Multiple times, up to 2 to 4 hours continuously during a, 8-to-10-hour shift
• Driving/Operating Equipment: Powered equipment (Forklift, reach truck/cherry picker) is required and must be able to cross train and work in multiple areas of the facility as needed

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role is a plus
• Experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment
