Associate Technician 2nd shift

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and perform basic maintenance of production equipment in the surface or finish areas of lab production.
• Interpret Rx work tickets and perform production operations on specified equipment following established procedures.
• Conduct basic/routine maintenance and troubleshoot malfunctioning equipment; advise supervisor of possible remedies.
• Perform specific tasks including:
  • Lens washing
  • Tool selection and replacement
  • Daily equipment setup and cleanup
  • Preparation of solutions or slurry mixtures for lens production
  • Ensuring sufficient supplies are available
• Calibrate equipment daily and weekly as directed by the area supervisor.
• Communicate effectively with all lab levels to ensure understanding and application of company policies and procedures.
• Maintain a neat, clean, and organized work area and common department areas.
• Follow all company and laboratory policies, including attendance and safety rules; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
• Assist others to maintain workflow, meet deadlines, and balance workloads; demonstrate cooperation and a positive attitude.
• Deliver acceptable quantity and quality of work on time.
• Provide training, work direction, and technical guidance to less experienced employees.
• Attend in-house or sponsored training meetings as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Handle hazardous substances/chemicals with required safety training.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to multitask, attention to detail, and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic high school-level math skills.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.

Pay

Pay Range: $18.14 - $26.00 per hour. Employee pay is determined by factors including geography, experience, qualifications, skills, and local minimum wage requirements. A competitive bonus and/or commission plan may complement the total rewards package.
