Associate Systems Engineer
Location: Tucson, AZ 85755 – Fully Onsite
Duration: 12+ Months (W2 Acceptable)
About the role
This onsite, entry-level position is focused on lab work, including running protocols, conducting tests, and collecting data for assessment on new development functional models. Ideal candidates are energetic, inquisitive, and capable of following written instructions, with relevant internship experience in the medical segment.
You will apply intensive and diversified knowledge of design principles, practices, and implementation in complex systems. Responsibilities include design concept generation, participating in design reviews, development and testing to assess performance against design specifications, reliability testing, and assessment of system interactions. You will assist in developing manufacturing processes and troubleshooting issues to determine root cause and possible engineering solutions.
Responsibilities
- Learn and apply company concepts, policies, and procedures, following standard practices.
- Work on projects of moderate scope, analyzing situations or data to make decisions within defined procedures.
- Make suggestions to improve work processes.
- Assist in reducing to practice patentable inventions.
- Participate in technical team activities and present/discuss data within the group.
- Monitor work to ensure quality and continuously promote "Quality First Time."
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Systems Engineering or related fields (e.g., Mechanical, Chemical, or Biomedical Engineering).
- 0–3 years of experience.
- Knowledge of basic and some specialized engineering techniques.
- Familiarity with searching technical literature.
- Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, graphical, and presentation software applications.
- Experience with electro-mechanical devices and lab work (e.g., running protocols, conducting tests, collecting data).
