Associate Systems Engineer
General Job Summary
This position requires a working background in systems engineering, ideally related to gas turbine engines, control systems, vehicle integration, or development rigs, such as requirements management, product certification or qualification programs, systems modeling, systems integration, and supplier interaction/management. You will be provided with a mentor to continue developing skills in systems engineering languages, methodologies, and tools for gas turbine engines and aircraft systems.
Essential Job Functions
- Collaborate with Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), hardware development teams, program functions and directorates, and suppliers to apply disciplined systems engineering practices across product baseline development, integration, verification, and the planning and execution of current and future changes.
- Support digital transformation initiatives and contribute to MBSE process development.
- Develop systems engineering models to perform systems engineering tasks.
- Derive and analyze system requirements.
- Define logical and physical system architectures, interfaces, and verification planning.
- Participate in customer and/or internal technical reviews throughout the product lifecycle.
Experience And Skills
- Relevant experience applying Systems Engineering principles across the process or product lifecycle including, requirements and architecture development, interface control design, hardware integration, and test and verification, is required.
- Experience with requirements development and management is preferred.
- Proficiency with requirements management tools, (e.g., IBM DOORS, JAMA, or similar) is preferred.
- Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) practices and implementation is a plus.
- Experience using MBSE tools, such as SysML Rhapsody, Cameo/Magic Draw, or equivalent is a plus.
Education and Experience
- BS/MS in Systems, Mechanical, Aerospace, Software, or related engineering field
- 2+ years of relevant experience

Office and/or manufacturing environment
Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time
Ability to perform repetitive motion (keyboarding, mouse, phones, rotating wrist, using tools/equipment)
