About the role
We are looking for an entry-level Structural Designer with a Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree related to Architecture or Structural Technology, and a strong interest in sustainability and building design. You will join our Structural Department, working with a highly skilled team on diverse projects in the municipal, industrial, institutional, and commercial sectors. This role offers opportunities to collaborate with design and construction professionals across Ramboll’s global business units.
Responsibilities
- Prepare structural engineering and construction drawings for all project phases using Autodesk Revit, under direct supervision.
- Adhere to Ramboll’s quality management system, including drafting standards and client or industry-specific standards.
- Participate in the Ramboll CAD/BIM Coordinator Certification program and act as CAD/BIM Coordinator on selected projects.
- Review vendor drawings/submittals to confirm compliance with Contract Documents.
- Visit job sites to gain field experience and develop practical engineering skills.
- Actively contribute to creating a safety culture in the office and in the field.
- Analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, aerial photographs, geotechnical data, and other information to plan routine to average-complexity projects.
- Perform engineering calculations using accepted formulas and references, and develop simple and complex design elements under supervision.
Requirements
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree related to Structural Technology or Architecture.
- Experience with Autodesk Revit.
- Willingness to learn new market sectors and areas where you lack experience.
- Strong communication skills, ability to interact with clients and colleagues, and work independently with direction from senior staff.

Pay
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $57,952 to $83,306 per year, depending on location, skills, experience, education, and internal equity.
