About the Role
We are looking for an entry-level Structural Designer with a Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree related to Architecture or Structural Technology, and a strong interest in building design, construction administration, sustainability, and pursuing a career in structural design. As part of our Structural Department, you will work on diverse projects in the municipal, industrial, institutional, and commercial sectors, collaborating with design and construction professionals across Ramboll’s business units, including Energy Transition, Environment & Health, Water, and Advanced Manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Prepare structural engineering and construction drawings for all project phases using Autodesk Revit, under direct supervision.
- Adhere to Ramboll’s quality management system, including drafting standards and client or industry-specific standards.
- Participate in the Ramboll CAD/BIM Coordinator Certification program and act as CAD/BIM Coordinator on selected projects.
- Review vendor drawings/submittals to confirm compliance with Contract Documents.
- Visit job sites to gain field experience and develop practical engineering skills.
- Actively contribute to creating a safety culture in the office and field.
- Analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, aerial photographs, geotechnical data, and other information to plan projects of routine to average complexity.
- Perform engineering calculations using accepted formulas and references, and develop design elements under direct supervision.
Requirements
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree related to Structural Technology or Architecture.
- Experience with Autodesk Revit.
- Willingness to grow, learn new market sectors, and expand areas of expertise.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with colleagues and clients.
- Ability to work independently with direction and support from senior staff.

Pay
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $68,730 to $77,000 per year. Actual compensation will vary based on location, skills, experience, education, and internal equity.
