Associate Strategic Sourcing Manager - IT software

About the role

A highly prestigious institution in New Haven, CT is seeking an Associate Strategic Sourcing Manager focusing on software within the IT and technology category. You will be responsible for maintaining all pricing, master contracts, and supplier management.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional and direct sourcing activities for the assigned category.
• Collaborate with the wider procurement and internal stakeholder network to set objectives.
• Identify value-generating opportunities with new suppliers.
• Evaluate and review all contract terms and conditions, identifying key potential risks and red lines.
• Build strong relationships with existing suppliers and new vendors.
• Negotiate and identify commercial opportunities.
• Develop and report on cost savings to the organization.

Requirements

• Understanding of RFI/RFPs, negotiations, and contract reviews.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, both internally and externally.
• Demonstrable supplier management experience, with the ability to onboard new suppliers and manage existing relationships.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Purchasing/buying/category management experience in IT, software, or technology.

Pay

Competitive annual salary ranging from $85,000 to $110,000, dependent on experience.

Schedule

Hybrid schedule, in-office twice a week. Must be within commutable distance of New Haven, CT.
