ASSOCIATE STORE MANAGER- Store 193

About the role

The Associate Store Manager (ASM) at United Dairy Farmers is responsible for supporting and assuming some of the responsibilities of the Store Manager. In the absence of the Store Manager, the ASM will manage the store's operations, ensuring the delivery of an outstanding guest experience.

Responsibilities

• Assigning/monitoring performance of duties, coaching The Hi Five Guest Experience, and training store associates.
• Direct counseling to associates and input to Store Manager for counseling/discipline.
• Screening interviews with applicants.
• Training current and new associates.
• Managing store administration, including ordering, reviewing weekly delivery reports, transferring products, and completing paperwork.
• Ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the shift, complying with all laws and regulations, and company policies.
• Providing the signature UDF Hi Five Guest Experience, preparing dipsides, stocking merchandise, managing POS system and gas console, maintaining security, and performing maintenance tasks.

Requirements

• Ability to communicate, hear, and understand English well enough to communicate with customers.
• Ability to see well enough to operate store equipment and read price books.
• Ability to understand operating instructions for store equipment and operate all store equipment.
• Ability to prepare dipsides using supplies in the dip cabinets.
• Ability to handle various forms of payment and make change.
• Ability to recognize numbers, count, and do basic arithmetic.
• Ability to move merchandise and clean store surfaces.
• Ability to tolerate cold temperatures and lift heavy objects.
• Ability to communicate effectively with associates and guests.
• Leadership and management skills to lead the store's operations.
