About the role

The Associate Store Manager (ASM) at United Dairy Farmers is a supportive role that shares some responsibilities with the Store Manager. In the absence of the Store Manager, the ASM assumes operational duties including managing associates, ensuring guest satisfaction, and performing administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assigning and monitoring the performance of duties for all store associates, including First Assistant Managers, Assistant Managers, Shift Leaders, and Guest Services Associates.
• Coaching the Hi Five Guest Experience and training associates in all store processes.
• Providing direct counseling to associates and contributing to the Store Manager's decision-making process regarding associate discipline.
• Screening and interviewing applicants, training current and new associates, and performing other administrative duties as assigned.
• Ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the store, including maintaining security, managing cash, and ensuring proper stock rotation.
• Performing duties equivalent to those of the Store Manager, such as ordering, reviewing delivery reports, and completing paperwork.
• Providing the signature UDF Hi Five Guest Experience, preparing DipSide items, and maintaining the store and parking lot in a safe, clean, and organized condition.
• Maintaining awareness of store operations and reporting accurately to management.

Requirements

• Ability to communicate effectively in English, hear and see well enough to operate store equipment, and understand operating instructions.
• Ability to prepare DipSide items, handle various payment methods, and maintain accurate records.
• Ability to lift and move merchandise, tolerate cold temperatures, and make quick decisions.
• Leadership and management skills to lead the store's operations.
• Ability to recruit and select candidates for store roles.
