About the role
The Associate Store Manager (ASM) at United Dairy Farmers supports and assumes some of the responsibilities of the Store Manager. In the absence of the Store Manager, the ASM makes decisions regarding the store's operations, focusing on guest service and addressing operational issues.
Responsibilities
Assigning/monitoring performance of duties, coaching The Hi Five Guest Experience, and training store associates (First Assistant Managers, Assistant Managers, Shift Leaders and Guest Services Associates).
Direct counseling of associates and providing input to the Store Manager for counseling/discipline of associates.
Performing screening interviews with applicants and training current and new associates.
Ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the shift, complying with all laws and regulations, and company policies.
Providing the signature UDF Hi Five Guest Experience, greeting guests, preparing dipsides, stocking merchandise, managing POS system and gas console, maintaining security, reporting accurately, and ensuring store cleanliness.
Requirements
Ability to speak, hear, and understand English well enough to communicate with customers.
Ability to see well enough to operate store equipment and use price book.
Ability to understand and operate store equipment.
Ability to prepare dipside items and handle various payment methods.
Ability to clean and organize the store and parking lot.
Ability to communicate effectively with associates and guests.
Ability to recruit, select, and train candidates for store roles.
Leadership and management skills to lead the store's operations.
Skills

Pay
$17.00/hr - $19.50/hr plus quarterly bonus eligibility.
Schedule
Full Time (40 hours per week); minimum of five (5) shifts each week including three (3) scheduled first shifts; minimum of two (2) second shifts which are opposite of the store manager’s schedule. Minimum of two (2) scheduled weekends per month.
