Responsibilities

  • Aid in the month end closing process.
  • Access Celanese systems to identify charges to DTF, and create mirror images in DTF’s SAP system.
  • Identify and create accruals as necessary, and track to reverse when billed.
  • Handle Hopewell utilities accounting, including calculations and bookings for in-transit inventory on imports.
  • Manage various accruals such as Bonus, KPMG, Property Tax, and prepare entries to amortize annual billings.
  • Prepare entries to allocate engineering hours to projects.
  • Perform monthly general ledger account reconciliations.
  • Handle Accounts Receivable / Cash Application.
  • Process Accounts Payable.
  • Provide data on Sales/Use Tax Activity to the Tax Department.
  • Prepare miscellaneous invoices for shared costs and/or non-film services provided.
  • Maintain up-to-date procedures and update the Regional Finance Model using strong Excel skills.
  • Update the Capital Project Spending database monthly.
  • Manage SAP processes for reversing documents.
  • Support KPMG audits as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s (or higher) degree in Accounting.
  • Excellent Excel skills.
  • SAP experience is preferred.
  • Ability to work extended hours during the first week of each month and at year-end closing.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills required due to interactions with individuals in other functions and teamwork involvement.
  • Results-oriented.
