Associate Software Engineer, Retail POS

Job Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design, development, testing, and support of assigned application components under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Participate in troubleshooting efforts, and root cause analysis for production issues.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives, and backlog grooming activities.

Requirements

• Basic understanding of Point of Sale (POS) concepts or retail experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with object-oriented programming principles and software development concepts.
• Experience or coursework in Java development; exposure to Java Swing is a plus.
• Knowledge of JavaScript or Python is beneficial.
• Exposure to technologies such as .NET Core, Docker, JSON/Open API, SQL Server, or Android development is a plus.
• Familiarity with CI/CD principles and modern software delivery practices.
• Experience using source control and development tools such as Git, Nexus, and Jenkins is preferred.

Qualifications

• Desired: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field.

Pay

The hiring range for this position is $55,000.00 - $64,200.00 per year. This range represents the anticipated base pay for this role. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, education, and location.
