Associate Services - Human Resources Manager

About the role
This role leads and supports all functions of the Human Resources department, including training, employee relations, development programs, and recruitment in accordance with Omni standards and local laws.
Responsibilities
- In the absence of the Director/Assistant Director, assumes responsibility for the Human Resources Department.
- Participates in planning and executing associate events organized by the Human Resources Department.
- Acts as a liaison between management and associates.
- Clearly and accurately documents all associate issues in a timely manner following counseling and disciplinary procedures.
- Posts open positions on the Omni Hotels careers website, local job boards, and other recruiting sites.
- Schedules in-person, online, and phone interviews with appropriate decision-makers and interviewers.
- Ensures applicants are tracked and moved through the interview/approval process efficiently.
- Assists with wage surveys to ensure Omni remains a competitive employer.
- Oversees the management of J1 and H2B visa workers, ensuring compliance with all visa program requirements, including documentation and reporting.
- Serves as the primary contact for J1 and H2B workers, providing support and addressing concerns.
- Manages HRIS to ensure compliance with applicant flow logs, drug testing, I-9s, background checks, and reference checks.
- Champions Omni’s Six Pillars Culture on property and promotes opportunities within the hotel and company.
- Performs other duties within the scope of the position as assigned by management.
- Plays a key role in the Internship program.
Qualifications
- Minimum of two years of Human Resources Management experience, preferably in a high-volume, on-site environment.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to delegate, train, develop, and motivate staff.
- Ability to mentor key leadership positions, including department heads and assistant managers.
- Proven ability to engage associates at all levels.
- Union experience preferred but not required.
- Bilingual skills preferred but not required.
- Experience managing J1 and H2B visa programs is a plus.
- Strong understanding of Human Resources principles, with experience handling complex and sensitive associate matters.

- Computer proficiency, including advanced Excel skills.
- HRIS experience required; Ultipro knowledge preferred.
- Flexibility in working hours, including occasional evenings or weekends, to meet the needs of the hotel and associates.
