About the Role
Assists with the coordination of all functions of the Human Resources department, including training, benefits management, employee relations, and recruitment, in accordance with Omni standards. Provides clerical and administrative support to the Human Resources Director and leadership team, while fostering a warm and welcoming environment in the Associate Services Center.
Responsibilities
- Professionally and warmly greet all guests to the Associate Services Center (ASC).
- Provide administrative support to the HR Director and HR leadership.
- Assist with the recruitment process, including pre-screening and scheduling interviews for line-level positions, posting open positions, and maintaining the open position listing.
- Generate and analyze complex reports and queries in Ultipro.
- Oversee Power of Engagement tracking efforts and the Omni Hotels & Resorts LMS System for the property.
- Manage all aspects of New Hire Orientation preparation and facilitate assigned sections of the orientation.
- Assist with processing new hire paperwork.
- Maintain department logs, binders, and employee files.
- Develop associate communications via weekly newsletters, monthly calendars, bulletin boards, posters, and flyers.
- Enter and maintain all associate data in UltiPro (HRIS).
- Answer phone and email inquiries.
- Type memos and other correspondence.
- Maintain office supplies and equipment.
- Participate in planning and execution of associate events.
- Oversee documentation tracking processes.
- Champion Omni’s culture on property and promote opportunities within the hotel and company.
- Facilitate a culture of praise and recognition by assisting with employee recognition programs.
- Participate in the Hotel Orientation Program.
- Collect, sort, and distribute office mail.
- Complete other duties assigned by management.
- Provide guidance and support to the HR Coordinator.
Requirements
- College degree preferred but not required.
- Minimum 1 year of human resources experience.
- High level of written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while executing delegated tasks.
- Strong computer skills, including advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, Internet research, and the ability to quickly learn new software.
- Ability to work independently and complete projects with minimal oversight.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.
- Highly motivated self-starter focused on quality, organization, guest service, and teamwork.
- Professional appearance and ability to create a welcoming environment for associates.
- Willingness to work 1 weekend day per quarter.
