This is a hybrid position (1-2 days in office) located in New York, NY or Nashville, TN. Amsive does not currently provide sponsorship opportunities.
About the Role
The Associate Strategist, SEO will support Amsive Digital's organic and AI search clients across industries such as SaaS, e-commerce, higher education, healthcare, and finance. This role is ideal for a curious problem solver who will help lead a small team and support the wider department with content and technical strategies. It serves as a steppingstone to becoming an independent team leader as a Strategist.
Responsibilities
- Help develop and own the strategy, roadmap, and day-to-day activities of SEO for key accounts.
- Lead bi-weekly client cadence calls, assisted by your team and account coordinators, managers, or directors.
- Grow into an independent SEO team leader.
- Conduct comprehensive, prioritized site audits and identify content and technical SEO opportunities to drive organic visibility and traffic.
- Document recommended solutions concisely and compellingly, working with development teams to advise on implementation.
- Develop realistic business cases to convince clients to prioritize and implement SEO initiatives.
- Derive strategic search query and prompt evaluations to drive successful initiatives based on attainable organic and AI search opportunities.
- Monitor and analyze site performance using SEO, AI, and site analytics tools.
- Interpret and explain data discoveries related to organic and AI search, specific initiatives, and client KPIs.
- Develop and communicate SEO and AI search strategies, deliverables, and results effectively.
- Stay updated on current SEO industry trends and technologies, and communicate these trends to clients and the broader SEO department.
- Perform competitive analyses to identify organic search opportunities.
- Identify opportunities to improve organic conversion rates.
- Supervise QA of SEO implementations.
Requirements
- Minimum 4-5 years of experience contributing to or managing successful SEO campaigns, including agency-side experience.
- Understanding of current SEO and AI search best practices, search engine ranking factors, and intermediate marketing principles.
- Strong grasp of how to help clients meet business goals realistically while setting appropriate expectations.
- Intermediate understanding of URL discovery, crawling, rendering, indexing, and ‘crawl budget’.
- Knowledge of web performance and page speed optimizations.
- Inside-out knowledge of Screaming Frog and Google Search Console.
- Experience using SEO tools such as Botify, Lumar, OnCrawl, Ryte, BrightEdge, STAT, SEMrush, ahrefs, etc.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
- Strong project management and organization skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple concurrent projects.
- Experience with Google Analytics, Looker Studio, and connected APIs for data analysis and reporting.
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript as they relate to SEO.
