Associate/Senior Associate, Nonclinical Operations

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated individual contributor to join our Nonclinical Operations team as an Associate/Senior Associate (title dependent upon experience). In this role, you will be responsible for the outsourcing and oversight of non-GLP toxicology and/or pharmacokinetic studies in support of discovery research programs. The position partners closely with internal scientists and external Contract Research Organizations (CROs) to ensure studies are well-planned, executed with rigor, and reported on schedule.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary conduit between Lilly scientists and CRO partners, ensuring timely and thorough study communication and logistics support.
• Lead cross-functional review of study designs, protocols, reports, and related documentation to enable scientific alignment.
• Manage study requests, deliverables and turnaround times, with proactive risk mitigation and issue resolution, to support data readiness and informed decision-making.
• Maintain financial oversight of vendors, including generating POs, tracking spend commitments, reviewing and approving invoices.
• Contribute operational expertise to departmental initiatives to decrease cycle times, harmonize processes, and streamline workflows.
• Apply AI agents to optimize productivity and redefine ways of working.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field.
• 3+ years of experience in nonclinical operations within toxicology, pharmacokinetics, bioanalytical, or a related discipline.
• Qualified applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Lilly will not provide support for or sponsor work authorization or visas for this role.

Pay

The anticipated wage for this position is $65,250 - $148,500. Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
