About the role

As an Associate Scientist in In Vivo Pharmacology, you will play a key role in advancing preclinical oncology and immunology programs by designing, executing, and analyzing in vivo studies.

Responsibilities

  • Design, execute, and interpret in vivo efficacy, PK/PD, and mechanistic studies in relevant oncology and immunology models
  • Effectively contribute to safety/toxicology studies and assessments in murine models
  • Perform necropsies and tissue collection, process tissue and perform flow-cytometry based staining and sample acquisition
  • Collaborate with discovery, translational, and biomarker teams to leverage study-derived samples and develop ex vivo mechanistic assays (MSD, bulk RNA-seq, scRNA-seq) that inform disease biology, mechanism of action and translational strategy
  • Contribute to study planning, experimental timelines, and data-driven decision making for program advancement
  • Maintain accurate, well-organized experimental records while ensuring a safe, compliant, and reproducible lab environment
  • Identify opportunities to improve in vivo platforms and evaluate emerging technologies relevant to ImmunEdge’s pipeline

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in biological science, with 8 years industry experience or Master's degree with 6 years industry experience in drug discovery or development, with significant hands-on experience in vivo models
  • Demonstrated experience designing, executing, and interpreting studies in murine syngeneic and transgenic disease models, particularly in oncology and/or immunology
  • Expertise in subcutaneous tumor implants and orthotopic surgeries is required
  • Proficient in dose administration via multiple routes, including intraperitoneal, intravenous, tail vein and oral gavage
  • Experience with blood collection (cheek bleed or RO), necropsy and sample processing in mice to support PK, PD, and biomarker analyses
  • Experience in flow cytometry (immune phenotyping, data analysis). Prior experience with Cytek spectral cytometry instruments is a plus
  • Experience in aseptic cell culture and perform cell line expansion for tumor implants in mice
  • Proficiency with standard laboratory techniques such as ELISA, MSD, qPCR, western blotting, and cytokine bead array is a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to independently analyze and interpret complex datasets using Flowjo, GraphPad Prism, generate publication-quality figures, and effectively communicate findings through slide presentations in departmental and cross-functional forums
  • Ability to independently plan and execute experiments, troubleshoot complex problems, and rigorously interpret scientific data
  • Strong collaboration, communication, technical writing, and organizational skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, supportive start-up environment
