Job Description Job description: We areseekingahighly motivatedAssociateScientist,in-vitroPharmacologist,who will make contributions to thedesign,execution,and communication of novel multi-disciplinary research ina highly collaborativeMigraineand Paindrug discovery program. Primary responsibilities of the successful candidate will be toconductbasic sciencestudiesfor the pharmacological evaluation of novel compoundsand biologics,as well astoassistin thedevelopment ofassays andapproachesfortarget engagement andtranslationalbiomarkers.He/Shewill alsocontribute to thedevelopment of newcellularmodelsrepresentative of human disease and will generate high-quality datareportsto support the identification and development of novel therapeutics. Key Responsibilities Include Contributingtothecellular evaluationof novel therapeuticsto treatmigraineand other painrelated disorders.Contributingto thedevelopment oftranslatableassays/models.Effectively organizingschedule tofacilitateacute and longitudinalstudies.Formulatingnovel therapeuticscellular/ex vivo assays.Generatingdetailed andaccuratereports of study outcomes.Adaptable, creative,andquantitativethinking.Opportunities to expand skillset tonew approachesand technologieswill be available.The successful candidate willbe responsible forbeing an active contributortoPain relatedprograms in an exciting, fast-paced team environment. Qualifications Qualifications AssociateScientist I:Bachelors Degree, or equivalentEducation.Associate Scientist II:Bachelors Degree, or equivalent education, with typically 3 or more years experience orMasters Degreeor equivalent education (noadditionalexperience).Minimumrequirement isabachelorsdegreeor similar inNeuroscience,Biologyor other relevantnaturalsciences.Hands-on experience in the laboratory, aseptic techniques, andworking withcellular models and plate-based assaysis a requirement.Experience withgenetic, molecular, and histochemistry techniques(e.g., RNA isolation and biomarker quantification by RT-PCR,CRISPR editing, capillary electrophoresis)orex vivo techniques.Ability to contributeindependently butalsointegrate well into ateamtowork across multiple scientific disciplines and functions.Ability to independently generate precise,reliableand reproducible datain a timely manner.Desire to take onadditionalresponsibilities to progress career.Ability towork ina highly collaborative scientific environment withstrongcommunicationskills.Experience in drug discoveryand primary/iPS cell culturesisa plus.
