Associate Scientist 1

About the role

This role involves performing assays for Biologics laboratory testing, conducting safety testing for clinical and commercial products, maintaining detailed records, and ensuring compliance with cGMP and GLP regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform assigned testing with minimal supervision within lab scheduling constraints
• Conduct testing in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and regulatory requirements (cGMP and GLP)
• Maintain complete and comprehensive records for study integrity
• Make detailed observations and document results
• Operate and maintain lab equipment as per SOPs and testing procedures
• Perform peer review of assay batches and lab records to ensure Right First Time (RFT)
• Communicate deviations, events, progress, and interim results to Study Management
• Inform supervisor of deviations or factors affecting data quality and accuracy
• Avoidance of repetitive tasks by assisting with revisions to SOPs, laboratory records, and other documentation as assigned
• Comply with company health and safety regulations and procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in a scientific discipline (e.g., Biology, Biotechnology, Chemistry, etc.)
• OR Associate Degree in a scientific discipline (e.g., Biology, Biotechnology, Chemistry, etc.) with 2+ years of laboratory experience
• OR High school diploma or GED with 4+ years of laboratory experience

Qualifications

• Experience with cell culture, PCR, and liquid handling
• Experience with data entry into databases (LIMS, ELN, SAP etc…)
• Experience with documentation (handwritten and electronic) neatly and accurately
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
