Associate Revenue & Pricing Analyst

ECLARO is seeking an Associate Revenue & Pricing Analyst for a client in White Plains, NY. The client is America’s largest state power organization and a national leader in energy efficiency and clean-energy technology.

About the role

This position assists in preparing transmission-asset revenue requirements and cost-of-service studies, developing rate and cost-recovery mechanisms, and performing energy-market evaluation and analysis. The Associate Analyst will also produce market-competitiveness analyses for the client’s customers.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and maintenance of the client’s existing Transmission Revenue Requirement models and templates.
• Assist in the development and monthly rate-setting of Client and Transmission Service Charge (TSC) reporting.
• Assist in preparing required analysis for FERC filings for cost recovery of the client’s future transmission investments.
• Assist in cost-of-service and rate-development calculations for the client’s Generation and Supply business, as needed.
• Perform customer savings and cost-comparison analyses.
• Update departmental procedures, document processes, and provide directions.
• Support other required filings, including the Proposed and Final Four-Year Budget and Financial Plan for the NYS Comptroller’s Office.
• Support development of the four-year Operating Forecast (OF) and monthly updates by collecting and analyzing data, updating the financial model, analyzing results, and preparing reports and variance analyses.
• Assist team members with special assignments and ad-hoc requests.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of economics, finance, and accounting concepts and theories.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, including the ability to interpret financial, marketing, and utility-tariff data.
• Previous utility experience is a plus.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel test will be given at interview).
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
