Responsibilities

  • Carry out behavioral training and testing of non-human primates.
  • Collect functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) and neurophysiology data from non-human primates in collaboration with laboratory team members.
  • Analyze behavioral, neurophysiology, and fMRI data using appropriate research methods and software.
  • Collaborate with students, postdoctoral fellows, and faculty to interpret findings, prepare manuscripts, and publish scientific research.
  • Maintain accurate research records and ensure compliance with laboratory protocols and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate laboratory administrative activities, including ordering research supplies and maintaining inventory.
  • Perform laboratory safety responsibilities and assist with ensuring compliance with institutional safety policies and procedures.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the laboratory and veterinary technicians to coordinate animal care and research activities.
  • Support additional laboratory operations and research-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in science or related field preferred, or combination of relevant research experience and education.
  • 0-2 years of research/laboratory experience.
