About the role

The Evidence Generation team is hiring an Associate Research Scientist to join our team of research professionals conducting primary data collection studies in the pharmaceutical and biotech space; contributing to study execution, problem solving, and supporting both qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Support all aspects of execution of primary data collection research studies, including literature reviews; development of data collection instruments (e.g., surveys, interview guides); study protocols; data collection; data analysis and interpretation; and support dissemination activities.
  • Contribute to the development of project deliverables under the guidance of senior team members with methodological and subject matter expertise.
  • Aid in the delivery of project components by collaborating with team members to ensure high-quality outputs and help maintain project timelines for assigned tasks.
  • Support client engagement activities by drafting update slides for regular client meetings with guidance from senior team members, and documenting meeting notes, action items, and next steps.
  • Contribute to proposal and presentation development by drafting background sections, task descriptions, timelines, and references with guidance from senior team members.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or PhD in a subject related to health services research e.g., health economics, public policy, health policy, epidemiology, biostatistics, public health or related discipline
  • 1-2 years of relevant prior research experience, including research conducted for undergraduate or graduate programs
  • Proficiency in quantitative and/or qualitative research methods, including experience in data analysis platforms/programs (e.g. Dedoose, NVivo, R, SAS, Stata)
  • Ability to work effectively individually and as part of a diverse team
  • Strong organizational skills, including the ability to meet deadlines and balance competing demands
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Qualifications

  • Previous consulting or internship experience (preferred but not required)
  • Strong willingness to learn, grow, and share knowledge with team members

Skills

  • Experience in qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis tasks
  • Familiarity with qualitative analysis software (e.g., NVivo, Dedoose) and quantitative programs (e.g., Excel, R, SAS, or Stata)
  • Experience with qualitative and quantitative data interpretation and visualization
