Key Responsibilities

  • Aid in property tax assessments and reviews to uncover potential tax savings opportunities.
  • Analyze property tax valuations and assessment data to spot discrepancies or areas for appeal.
  • Support the creation and submission of property tax appeals, including assembling documentation and assisting with case development.
  • Conduct research on property tax laws, regulations, and market trends to inform client engagements.
  • Collaborate with clients to gather and organize property records, valuation information, and other supporting documents.
  • Prepare reports, summaries, and client-facing materials detailing findings and recommendations.
  • Maintain accurate case files and ensure compliance with deadlines and filing requirements.
  • Collaborate with senior team members on assessment appeals and other client projects, enhancing technical knowledge and professional skills.
  • Build positive client relationships through effective communication and high-quality work.
  • Contribute to a collaborative, team-oriented culture dedicated to delivering exceptional client service.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, real estate, accounting, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • Minimum 2-5 years experience in property tax consulting, real estate, or a related field.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of property tax laws, valuation methodologies, and appeal processes.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial and property data.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the capacity to explain technical concepts to clients.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in relevant software/tools, such as property tax management systems and MS Office Suite.
  • Certification as a Property Tax Consultant (CPTC) or a related credential is required.
