Associate - Real Estate (Columbus)

About the role

Taft is looking for a team-oriented associate to join our Real Estate group in the Columbus office. Taft is seeking an associate with at least four years of transactional experience to join our Real Estate practice group. The ideal candidate will have experience in acquisition, disposition, financing and commercial leasing.

Responsibilities

• Participate in acquisition, disposition, financing and commercial leasing transactions
• Collaborate with clients and colleagues on complex real estate matters
• Prepare and review documents related to real estate transactions
• Assist in due diligence processes
• Provide legal advice and guidance to clients

Requirements

• At least four years of transactional experience in real estate
• Experience in acquisition, disposition, financing and commercial leasing
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications

• J.D. degree from an accredited law school
• Admitted to practice law in good standing in Ohio
• Passionate about real estate law

Skills

• Strong legal research and writing skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
