About the Role

The Associate Project Manager will work with the Project Manager and/or Superintendent to plan, coordinate, execute, and track all aspects of the project work.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the strategic planning of upcoming projects.
  • Help coordinate and manage projects from inception to completion.
  • Review work plans and contribute ideas for cutting costs.
  • Carry out weekly and daily operational reporting in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Facilitate communications between office and field staff.
  • Track and directly report project status updates to the project manager.
  • Help problem solve issues and suggest ways to improve the project.
  • Organize, file, and maintain all current project documents.
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with contract specifications.
  • Help create, manage, and maintain the project budget.
  • Coordinate and execute daily administrative tasks.
  • Help create and adhere to project timeline and calendar.
  • Consult with and gather information from inspectors, engineers, subcontractors, etc.
  • Maintain positive vendor and client relationships.
  • Ensure the project adheres to the set schedule and is meeting client goals.
  • Copy TV reports and create labels for DVDs and DVD cases, and prepare TV reports.
  • Prepare contracts for closeout with all information required by the customer, including as-built drawings, videos, and punch lists.
  • Maintain job files.
  • Review subcontractor video, match, and approve invoices.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years’ experience in construction management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite.
  • Organized and detail-oriented.
  • Skilled collaborator.
  • Excels in a high-paced work environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to multi-task effectively.
  • Focused and supportive of management at all times.
  • Self-starter who works well independently.
  • Adaptable and calm under pressure.
